The Meechai elephant camp is located just inland from Kai Bae village, and the trek will take you into the hillside overlooking the sea, so you are assured of some great views during this elephant trek.
Key points: Pick up time: Hourly 08:30 until 15:30. Drop off time: 3 hours later (long program), 1.5 hours later (short programs). Prices: between 250 and 900 Baht per adult, depending on the numbers and the program, see below. Kids reductions apply.
If you select the 2 hour experience then you can trek, see the elephant show and swim in the ocean with baby elephants. This option is popular with families, though everyone enjoys the swim as much as the animals do!
There are 6 different programs available:
1. 30 minutes elephant ride: 500 Baht per elephant (max 2 riders).
2. 1 hour elephant ride: 500 Baht per adult, 300 Baht per child.
3. 2 hours elephant ride, show and swim: 900 Baht per adult, 600 Baht per child.
4. 1 hour elephant show and swim: 650 Baht per adult, 650 Baht per child.
5. 30 minutes elephant show: 300 Baht per adult, 300 Baht per child.
6. 30 minutes elephant swim: 500 Baht per adult, 500 Baht per child.
