Elephant Trek Ban Kwan Chang

Ban Kwan Chang elephant camp is located inside the deep rain forest near Klong Son in the North West of the island. It is well worth taking the extra half hour or so that it takes to reach the camp from the resorts at Klong Prao - taxi collection and return is provided free - and the ride into the rain forest from Klong Son is very scenic .

Key points: Pick up time: 08:30, 10:30, 12:30 or 14:30. Drop off time: 3 hours later. Price: 500THB for 1 hour, 900THB for 2 hours. Reduced price for kids.

Elephant Trek Meechai

The Meechai elephant camp is located just inland from Kai Bae village, and the trek will take you into the hillside overlooking the sea, so you are assured of some great views during this elephant trek.

Key points: Pick up time: Hourly 08:30 until 15:30. Drop off time: 3 hours later (long program), 1.5 hours later (short programs). Prices: between 250 and 900 Baht per adult, depending on the numbers and the program, see below. Kids reductions apply.

Elephant Trek Ban Camp Chang

Ban Camp Chang elephant camp is situated just inland from Klong Prao beach, off the main road, so it is easily accessible from the resorts that are close to our shop. Anyway, wherever you are staying, the camp’s taxi will pick you up from, and return you to your resort, or anywhere on the central west coast of the island.

Key points: Pick up time: Hourly 08:30 until 15:30. Drop off time: 3 hours later (2 hr trek), 2 hours later (1 hr trek). Price: 500THB 1 hour 900THB for 2 hours. Kids half price.
