About Koh Chang

Traveling from the North of the island by the main road. 20 meters before Neighbor Plaza, our shop is in between the King Tailor and Amigos Mexican restaurant, on the left hand side of the road. Or, coming from the South on the main road; just after the Neighbor Plaza, we are there on the right side of the road. Update: a new landmark is the new 7-11 store in Chai Chet; we are directly opposite that.

Getting to Koh Chang from Bangkok international Airport

(Last updated 8th September 2015) You can reach Koh Chang on the day of your arrival at Bangkok International Airport (Suvarnabhumi), provided that your arrival time is before 1pm.

Location and accessibility

In the Eastern Gulf of Thailand, and close to the Cambodian border, Koh Chang (Elephant Island) is the largest island in the Gulf. In fact, if you discount Phuket, which is linked to the mainland by a road bridge, it is the largest island of Thailand. Only 10 kilometers from the mainland in the province of Trat, it is linked by 2 regular car ferry services.

What to expect, weather-wise, from your visit to Koh Chang

Koh Chang lies 10 degrees north of the equator, so is certainly a tropical destination. All year round, it is hot, in fact there's not much variation in the temperature, month by month, though some Thais might reckon that November is quite "cold" in Koh Chang.

Buying from us, and payment - how it works.

Most of our sales are generated at our shop. Indeed we suggest that you do not buy any tours online, because you will only know exactly what you want to do here after you have arrived and have had a good look around. In any case, when you are here, do come and talk to us!

For most of our private transfers and for some other tours, we are happy to collect your payment after you have arrived on Koh Chang. Where 3rd parties are involved and for accommodation and packages we need to collect payment from you prior to your arrival. Credit card, Thailand domestic bank transfer and Wise (TransferWise) can be used, and on confirmation of your booking we will send you an email requesting payment by one of these methods.
