The Thai Cooking School at Klong Plu is located close to the waterfall and has been in business since the year 2003. If you're looking for a short course, then most days they run morning, afternoon and evening classes. You will experience Thai food in all its varieties, learning traditional preparation and cooking methods, then savoring the spicy aromas and delightful flavors.

You can choose either a morning, an afternoon or an evening cooking course. Morning pickup is from 8:30am, afternoon from 1:30pm and 2:30pm, and evening from 5:00pm. Your English speaking teacher (Nam) will introduce you to the Thai cooking culture, and will cover all of the ingredients that go into seasoning and balancing the flavors, and will reveal some of the secrets that will enable you to reproduce these dishes when you’re back home. You will prepare, cook, and finally consume your very own special creation. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and you will also learn how to prepare herbal tea and other herbal drinks.
The morning class (A) typically offers Pad Thai, Tom-Yam goong or Tom-kha-gai, Panang, green, red or yellow curry, fried cashew nuts and sticky rice mangoes. Price is 1,200 Baht. Pick up time is 08:30.
The afternoon class (B) offers spring rolls, Pad-thai or fried cashew nuts, Tom-Yam goong or Tom-kha-gai, green or massaman or red curry, Som tam thai or glass noodle soup, and pumpkin or banana in coconut milk. Price is 1,200 Baht. Pick up time is 13:30.
The afternoon class (C) offers 1 of 5 curries, spring rolls, laab-ghai or Pad ga-praw, Tom-Yam goong or Tom-kha-gai, sticky rice mangoes or banana in coconut milk. Plus you get to make the curry paste and som tam thai (papaya salad). Price is 1,200 Baht. Pay an additional 300 or 600 baht and you can select additional dishes also on this course, from steamed fish, fried prawns in tamarind sauce, deep fried fish with garlic, baked glass noodles with prawns. Pick up time is 14:30.
The evening class (D) offers spring rolls or money bag, laab-ghai or Pad ga-praw, Tom-Yam goong or Tom-kha-gai, sticky rice mangoes or banana in coconut milk, steamed fish or fried prawns in tamarind sauce or deep fried fish with garlic. Plus choose one of glass noodle salad, making curry paste, yellow curry, massaman curry, red curry, panang curry or green curry. Price is 1,500 Baht. Pick up time is 17:00.
After several hours of gastronomic delights, you’ll be taken back to your resort (with any food you have left over). You’ll also be given an eat-healthy Thai recipe booklet.
