Weather Report
No rain to speak of for 12 days or so!
Was down at Chai Chet pier today, so thought this was a better picture than the previous, and so a good excuse for making another weather update. But the weather has not really changed! There is of course still a high risk of rain at this time of year, mostly this will fall overnight, but the last 12 days have seen little, if any, rain. Little sunshine too though, with mostly heavy cloud and sometimes strong winds. One snorkeling boat is going out on most days, and snorkeling visibility will be OK in parts, but the open seas are likely to be high. We sent 8 people snorkeling today, and they had a good time. Fishermen have reported wave heights of 3 meters. A couple of dive boats will be going out, when the demand is there, and when the weather is reasonable. Closer to shore, there is a high risk of strong undertows and weak swimmers should not venture to any depth. Daytime temperatures have been around 26 degrees, and at night time the temperature falls to around 21 degrees. Do not always rely upon Qwikcast which is consistently predicting thunderstorms, even for the current day, when it is in fact dry. If you are thinking of coming to Koh Chang in the next few days, then look for yourself through our webcam for the weather as it is right now, and view the weather images page for an idea about weather on Koh Chang in the recent past.
Owing to the present good weather, our shop on the beach will now usually be open. Beach front webcam coming back soon.
