Weather report
We have been away in Europe for the past 4 weeks. Upon our return last week, we have seen some reasonably dry weather. Rain has been falling mainly overnight and early morning. Between now and September expect a lot of rain, though it is unusual for rain to fall non-stop for more than 36 hours, so in a typical week-long stay on Koh Chang at this time, some dry and sunny days can well be expected.
Take care when swimming though; seas can be rough, close to shore, and there are sometimes very strong undertows. High seas and occasional strong winds mean boat trips are usually not running, though given a quiet spell, it is still possible to enjoy a snorkeling trip by boat to the southern islands. Daytime temperatures are around 29 degrees when not raining.
