The Klong Prao airfield hosts the Koh Chang Flying club. You can take pleasure flights around Koh Chang, and can even take flying lessons here. Read on for more details. 

The waters to the South of Koh Chang offer better snorkeling than the beaches of Koh Chang island itself. Full-day and half-day boat trips are available, by either speed boat, sailing boat, or by wooden boat. By far the best spots and clearest waters are around the island of Koh Rang, which is where most of the day trips will head for.

If a full day is too much for you, then there are several ways to make a half day snorkeling trip. For example you can join the speedboat of one of the morning or afternoon diving trips. Additionally, there is a half day excursion to Koh Wai, and there are half day trips to the Koh Yuak group of islands which lie a short distance off the West coast of Koh Chang. Please come and see us and we shall let you know of all of the possibilities.  

You have the choice of either Chang Chutiman in Klong Prao, just 5 minutes drive away, or of Ban Kwan Chang, which is in the jungle inland from Klong Son, 30 minutes drive away. In both cases, a taxi return trip to the elephant camp is included. You can take either 1 or 2 hour treks.

Please do not miss out on seeing the remarkable rain forest of Koh Chang. Jungle treks can be taken thoughout the year. In the green season when rain is plentiful the forest is awash with lush, tropical vegetation, and the waterfalls are at their strongest.

We now offer 6 different jungle treks and 3 different mountain climbs, from 3 different guides. Two of these are easy going half day treks, designed with children in mind. We can also arrange a private trek for you and this can entail overnight camping in the interior, but please give us a few days notice for this. We also offer the Treetops Jungle adventure.

Meet your guides

Mr Raht makes 2 treks. Every Friday he takes a group to the summit of Koh Chang, Mount Salakphet. Other days of the week, he leads the Kongoi trek in the South of Koh Chang. "Jungleman" Raht has been trekking in Koh Chang for around 8 years.

Mt Tan makes 4 treks. On different days of the week, he does a climb of Mount Jom, he combines with an elephant ride, he does a basic trek in the North of Koh Chang, in the Klong Son valley, and he does a half day easy trek in Klong Plu, designed for families. He has 10 years experience of Trekking in Chiang Mai, Australia, Phuket, and Koh Chang.

Suthanai of Jungle Fever makes 3 treks. He does an easy half-day trek above Klong Prao, a bird watching trip, and an extremely challenging climb of Mount Jom2. He has been exploring the Koh Chang rain forest since 1989, and he displays some of his photography on this website. 

So, have a look through each of the treks on offer and decide which of them is the big enough challenge for you. At least one of your days on Koh Chang can be spent away from the beach!
